What is The Resource Collaboration?
The Resource Collaboration is a product of the heart. It comes from a great desire to be in community with one another. We don’t want to be a people who meet on Sunday and go our separate ways. We all have needs and we all have something to give. We want to support, facilitate and connect to the resources we have within our church body and beyond. The question is not so much “What”, as it is “Who”?
Who is The Resource Collaboration?
The people who call IKON their community.
What are the facilitators of The Resource Collaboration?
The facilitators are people (usually within each family) that will connect you to the resources in IKON and beyond. We want to empower our community to seek out each other and collaborate. We won’t do the work for you, but we will walk beside you to provide you next steps.
What are the Classifieds?
The Classifieds are a resource within IKON. It is posted online at ikonsf.com/classifieds. It is also available in print form every Sunday during our weekly gathering at the HUB. The Classifieds should be used by members of IKON for any needs they have, such as housing, employment, items to sell or give away, events, moving, etc. The Classifieds are a tool the facilitators use to connect people and meet needs.
What’s next?
The facilitators of The Resource Collaboration are working on some exciting projects to be more efficient and effective. It is a constant work in progress to get things working smoothly. We will soon be rolling out Project Share…

If you were traveling this weekend then you missed a great start to our new series Messy Spirituality. We all need rest, we all need Sabbath, but its more than just turning off, it’s about surrendering complete control. We believe this is the foundational Christian practice that all others(which will discuss the next 4 weeks) flow out of. Take 30 minutes out of your week, catch up and be ready for to gather this Sunday!
Saturday April 23, 2011 we hosted over 500 people in our SOMA neighborhood for an Easter Eggstravaganza. Thanks for everyone who stuffed eggs, bought supplies, volunteered and made this event a success!
